The show with Peter Katz last week in Toronto was a hoot. Beautiful venue, wonderul audience, and great music - what more could you want?
Next up is a full band show on Saturday May 22 at The Sky Dragon Centre in Hamilton (27 King William St) with The Alco Beat and String Bone, followed by a short tour in Eastern Ontario the following weekend.
And on Monday May 31, I’ll be opening for Justin Rutledge at The Casbah in Hamilton. It’s an early show starting at 8.30. Brandon Bliss is on first, then myself, then Justin. Tickets are $15 at the door or $12.50 advance (from The Casbah, Cheapies, or Dr. Disc).

Just under two weeks to go until the May 14 concert I’ll be playing in Toronto with Peter Katz, a great songwriter and friend with whom I toured the Netherlands and Germany for four weeks in February and March. Peter is releasing a new album called First of the Last to Know, and I’ll be opening the cd release party at The Music Gallery (197 John St, Toronto). Doors open at 7pm, and the show will start at 8. Advance tickets for the May 14 concert are available through TicketWeb.
Please take a listen to Peter’s music at www.peterkatz.com, and hopefully I’ll see you at The Music Gallery on Friday May 14.

Here’s a home movie of me singing a new song called ‘Colour Film’ with my brother Johan. Rob Szabo was kind enough to shoot it in his hotel room before the show we played together on April 15 in Stratford.

A few weeks ago, I taped an interview and full band performance of ‘Idiodyssey’ for the program Hamilton Life on Hamilton’s Cable 14. If you’d like to check it out, go to Hamilton Life’s Facebook page. That’s Erik Jenson on bass and Ian Venema on drums.

As you may know, I spent four weeks in February and March touring the Netherlands and Germany with Peter Katz, an extremely talented and likable singer/songwriter from Toronto. Peter is now releasing a new album called First of the Last to Know, and having listened to the record and heard Peter perform the songs every night, I have to say it’s great.
So I’m pleased to say that Peter has asked me to open his cd release concert on Friday May 14 at the Music Gallery (197 John St, Toronto). Doors open at 7pm, and the show will start at 8. $15 advance, $20 at the door.
I would encourage everyone to take a listen to Peter’s music, and I’d encourage anyone living in or near Toronto to come to the concert. You can listen to Peter at www.peterkatz.com, and advance tickets for the May 14 concert are available through TicketWeb.

A new song of mine called ‘Colour Film’ has been included on a compilation CD called ‘We Were Lost, We Were Free’. The disc has been released as part of a campaign to raise money for breast cancer research. To listen to new music and help support a good cause, you can check out the disc at the blog On Joyful Wings.
